Paper francs remedy the shortage of coinage after World War1. This 1-franc note is the first of the patriotic National Series, with the double portrait of King Albert 1 and Queen Elisabeth as a permanent feature. The reverse shows the coats of arms an the then nine Belgian provinces. Designer: Guillaume Minguet H: 8.5 cm. - W: 5 cm. Very nice condition with minimal signs of use considering age and use.
